A former Young Industrialist of the Year, Stanley Lau is a noted Hong Kong-based entrepreneur with formidable expertise in the business of watch making. He is founder and Managing Director of Renley Watch Group, an international business first established in 1983.

The Renley Watch Group is engaged in watch design, manufacturing, wholesale, retailing and after-sales service business. In 1990, the Group expanded its operations by establishing a watch assembly plant in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and a year later, acquired three time-honoured Swiss brands and their production facilities. Under Lau’s leadership, Renley set up sales offices in cities across Mainland China for distribution of the Group’s Swiss brand watches. Expanding into the retail sector, the Group presently operates 4 retail shops in Hong Kong and 9 across Mainland China.

Lau is also Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Chairman of its Hong Kong Watch & Clock Council and PRD Council. He also serves on a number of government advisory bodies, including Chairman of the Watch & Clock Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Qualifications Framework Education Bureau, member the Trade and Industry Advisory Board, the Labour Advisory Board, the Vocational Training Council, Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee, Chairman of Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Watches & Clocks Trade Advisory Committee. In 1994, Lau was awarded the Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong. He was formerly the President of the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council, and President of the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association.

Lau holds honorary doctorates in Business Administration from Southern California University for Professional Studies and Newport University.
