Born in Shandong, China, Zhang Xin is the General Manager of Retail Credit Management Department at Bank of Communications (BOCOM) Beijing Municipal Branch. For a broad range of backgrounds that include engineering, industrial economics and banking, Zhang is noted for prudently spearheading design and development of three significant products for the China’s banking sector, the IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Pledge Loan,Unsecured Loan and Copyright Pledge Loan for SMEs(Small and Medium-sized Enterprises).

Success of these products have instrumentally established BOCOM PROMOTION as an innovative brand amongst the financial products contingent, as confirmed with awards such as the 2007 Creative Industry Award in China and the 2007 Cultural Industry Finance Innovation Award in China. In the same year, Zhang was acknowledged by Beijing Business Today on its list of Top 10 Creative People.

Founded in 1908, BOCOM is ranks as amongst China’s five largest banks. Prior to joining BOCOM, Zhang served as Deputy General Manager of Personal Credit Management Department, and Deputy General Manager of Real Estate Credit Department of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Beijing Municipal Branch. Since 2001, He was also the bank’s Senior Economist.

Zhang received his Bachelor of Engineering from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University in 1982. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in industrial economics from Beijing Technology and Business University. In 2004, He earned an EMBA from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. His primary area of operation includes real estate credit, personal credit and SME financing. Zhang also serves as a visiting lecturer to Peking University and Tokyo’s Waseda University.
